Should you avoid July and August in Santorini? +
Yes if possible. The island is packed then and prices climb sharply. April-June and September-October offer the same light and pleasant warmth with far fewer people.
How do you get around Santorini without a car? +
The KTEL bus links Fira to villages and beaches for a few euros, but all routes pass through Fira and schedules are spaced out. For more freedom, rent a quad or a car, booking early in high season.
