Terms of use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the lheureduvoyage.com website (“the Site”) published by [ÉDITEUR_NOM] (“the Publisher”). By accessing the Site, you (“the User”) accept these Terms without reservation.
1. Purpose
The Site is an independent editorial magazine dedicated to travel. Its purpose is to provide free information, guides, comparators and tools to help users plan a trip. It is neither a travel agency nor a tour operator within the meaning of the French Tourism Code.
2. Access to the Site
Access is free of charge. The User is responsible for the hardware, software and internet connection required to access the Site.
The Publisher makes every effort to keep the Site available 24/7, but cannot guarantee absolute availability. Access may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, updates or in case of force majeure.
No account creation is required to browse the Site. Newsletter subscription is optional and subject to the User’s explicit consent.
3. Intellectual property
All elements composing the Site (text, photographs, illustrations, videos, trademarks, logos, software, source code, database structure) are protected by intellectual property law.
Any full or partial reproduction, representation, modification or distribution is forbidden without the Publisher’s prior written consent, on pain of infringement proceedings. Short citations for review or critical purposes are permitted under article L.122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code, subject to clear attribution and a hyperlink to the source page.
4. Site content and editorial responsibility
Content is written by the editorial team identified in the Our team section. The Publisher ensures quality, currency and accuracy of published information, in accordance with the Editorial charter and the Methodology.
However, travel information is by nature evolving (visa requirements, security, prices, schedules). Users are invited to verify with official sources (France Diplomatie, embassies, operators) before any final commitment. The Publisher cannot be held liable for damages resulting from information that has become outdated or modified by relevant authorities after publication.
5. User conduct
The User undertakes to use the Site in compliance with applicable law. In particular, the User must not:
- attempt to fraudulently access non-public areas of the Site;
- alter or attempt to alter the operation of the Site;
- automatically exploit content for commercial purposes (intensive scraping, database copying) without prior authorization;
- introduce viruses or malicious code;
- infringe third-party rights (defamation, harassment) through any comment spaces.
Any breach may result in suspension of access and, where applicable, legal proceedings.
6. Affiliate links and recommendations
The Site contains affiliate links to third-party products or services (insurance, credit cards, e-SIM, booking platforms). When the User clicks such links and makes a purchase, the User does not pay more, but the Publisher receives a commission that helps fund editorial production.
The affiliate link policy is detailed in our Affiliate disclosure. Recommendations remain editorially independent: no product is promoted solely because it pays better; rankings rely on publicly documented criteria.
7. External links to third-party sites
The Site contains links to third-party websites (sources, partners, references). The Publisher exercises no control over these sites and disclaims any responsibility for their content, availability or data protection practices.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher shall not be liable for:
- material errors or omissions in content;
- indirect damages resulting from use of the Site (loss of opportunity, lost earnings);
- damages related to temporary interruptions of access;
- decisions made by the User on the basis of content without verification against official sources.
The Publisher remains liable for damages resulting from its intentional or gross fault, and for infringements of fundamental rights and freedoms in accordance with applicable law.
9. Personal data and cookies
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
10. Modification of Terms
The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time to reflect changes in the Site or legal framework. The version applicable is the one in force at the date of consultation. A notice is displayed in case of substantial change.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, subject to prior amicable resolution and recourse to mediation as set out in the Legal notice.
