One day covers the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, which makes a day trip from Delhi possible. To add Fatehpur Sikri, the Baby Taj and enjoy sunset at Mehtab Bagh, plan one night on site.
What is the Taj Mahal ticket price in 2026? +
The foreigner ticket costs around 1100 ₹ (€12), including access to the gardens. Entering the central mausoleum requires an extra fee of about 200 ₹. The monument is closed every Friday.
Should you sleep in Agra or come from Delhi? +
The Gatimaan Express takes 1h40 and allows a round-trip day for the Taj and the Fort. Spending a night in Taj Ganj is worthwhile if you want sunrise on the Taj and sunset at Mehtab Bagh.
