How to get around
A short week: two domestic flights bookend the itinerary, and a fast ferry links the two islands. In the Philippines, flying saves whole days over slow sea connections.
Flight Manila → El Nido
€70-110 · AirSWIFT · 1h20 · otherwise Puerto Princesa + van
Ferry El Nido → Coron
~€35 · 3h30-4h · Montenegro Lines · sea often choppy
Flight Coron → Manila
~€50 · 1h05 · for the return connection
Adapt by season
Palawan is best from December to May: flat sea, boat tours almost guaranteed every day. From June to October, keep the same route but plan 1 buffer day: El Nido to Coron crossings get cancelled in rough weather, and the fast ferry is sometimes suspended. If a typhoon is forecast, switch to Cebu and Bohol, which are more sheltered.
