Adapt by season
From November to March the whole country works: desert, cities and the Hajar Mountains (Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah) where it stays cooler at altitude. From April to October, keep to air-conditioned urban sights and the east coast (Fujairah), slightly less stifling thanks to the Gulf of Oman. Jebel Jais, the country's highest point, stays 5 to 8°C cooler than the coast all year: a breath of air when it gets hot.
