Walk from Bondi to Coogee
6 km of coastal path past cliffs, ocean pools and beaches. Free, 2 to 3 hours with swim stops. Start early at weekends, it's the locals' favourite outing.
Free eVisitor for most Europeans
No paid visa: the eVisitor (subclass 651) is free and applied for online at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au. Usually approved within 24 hours, stays of up to 3 months.
Must-see
Jรธrn Utzon's UNESCO-listed white sails. Take the 1-hour guided tour or catch a show; the exterior is free to admire from Circular Quay.
The 1932 'coathanger' can be crossed on foot for free. The guided climb tops out 134 m above the harbour.
