Our analysis

Singapore has no real seasons: it is hot and humid all year. The true variable is rain. The smart move is to aim for the driest window, February to April, rather than watch the thermometer.

February to April, the driest window

This is the best time. February is the least rainy month of the year, and humidity is more bearable than usual. Count on 25 to 33°C, short showers and often clear skies. Ideal for walking Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay and the Chinatown or Little India quarters without fearing a downpour.

May and June stay doable, but they are the hottest months, up to 34°C. Late-afternoon storms cool the air without ruining the day.

The northeast monsoon trap

From November to January, the northeast monsoon brings the heaviest rains. December piles up 330 mm and nineteen rainy days: outdoor sights often shut down. This is the time to avoid if your plan depends on good weather.

One calendar exception is worth the trade-off: if the F1 Grand Prix (late November) or Chinese New Year (mid-February) draws you in, set your dates around it and book early, because hotels fill fast. For everything else, February stays my default pick.
