Adapt by season
This loop stays on the Cape and Garden Route side, at its best in the southern summer (November to March): sun, beaches, wineries. The southern spring (September-October) adds flowers and stays quieter. Hermanus offers whales from June to November. Avoid mid-December to mid-January, local holidays and peak prices.
