Adapt by season
This itinerary goes through Cappadocia, where the sunrise balloon flight is the highlight: it only runs in light wind, more common in spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October). In high summer, central Anatolia tops 35°C in the afternoon and flights are sometimes cancelled for heat or wind. Istanbul stays pleasant almost year-round, best avoided in the July-August heatwave.
